There are certain risks for the Russian Federation.
Now Russia has a certain reserve of forces, which allows Putin to put pressure on many fronts. Director at the Defense Express Information and Consulting Company Serhiy Zhurets told on the air of the Espreso.
He believes that now Putin does not intend to take the path of negotiations.
"Putin has a certain courage in view of the fact that a significant amount of manpower and weapons of the enemy still allows him to put pressure on many areas of the front line. But at the same time, there are certain risks for the Russian Federation, because, on the one hand, the losses of the occupiers have increased dramatically. If in 2022 we said that the average enemy losses per day were within 200 people, and in 2023 - about 500-600, this year we are talking about indicators of 1000-1500 per day of hostilities," the military expert said.
At the same time, Zhurets adds that the Russian Federation has a certain supply of resources, but these are not enough to withstand prolonged and large-scale military operations.
"At the current stage, the enemy will try first of all to act as if it were the last day, to use all available forces and means to advance as far as possible and create prerequisites for negotiations, if any, on the most acceptable terms for themselves," the expert adds.
He assumes that now, according to the logic of Putin and the Russian military leadership, there are no grounds for negotiations.
According to the expert, negotiations can begin in the event of special pressure from the United States on Russia, but the dynamics of coverage of Trump's negotiations with Putin looks somewhat strange.
"We are talking about certain concessions, decisions that should be made at the expense of Ukraine rather than the Russian Federation. I think this approach will not suit our side, our military and political leadership," stressed Serhiy Zhurets.
