‘Grigory Lovtsov’ Cargo Ship Overturns Near Sakhalin In Russia

The Grigory Lovtsov, a cargo ship carrying crushed stone and sand, has overturned in the port of Korsakov off the coast of Sakhalin (Russian Federation), Sakhalin Region Governor Valery Limarenko said. Three sailors have been rescued, the search for four more continues.
‘Preliminary, the vessel overturned due to overloading. There were seven crew members on board,' wrote Valery Limarenko on his Telegram-channel.
According to the governor, two tugboats and a rescue vessel are working at the wreck site. Morspassluzhba is getting the divers ready. The Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor's Office told TASS about the beginning of an inspection into the fact of the vessel's overturning.
