The dictator reminds Brezhnev at the 26th Congress of the CPSU.
Editor-in-Chief of Charter97.org Natallia Radzina became a guest of the YouTube show by the famous Russian journalist Yevgeny Kiselyov. One of the topics of conversation was Lukashenka's trip to Putin:
— It is quite clear why Lukashenka went to Moscow to receive the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. Putin's lackey was awarded a medal. I understand that for Russians this is the highest order since the times of the Russian Empire, but look who Putin awards them — "satraps" and punishers.
For us, Belarusians, this is a historical parallel. The Order of St. Andrew the First-Called was awarded to Governor-General Mikhail Muravyov, a Russian protege who brutally suppressed the national liberation uprising in 1863. Then hundreds of leaders of this performance were hanged in Belarus, including our national hero Kastus Kalinouski. Thousands of Belarusians were exiled to Siberia. It was for these crimes that Muravyov the "Hangman" (as he was called in Belarus) received this award from the hands of the Russian emperor.
Lukashenka received an order for the surrender of sovereignty, total Russification, for participation in the war against Ukraine. Actually, he went to Moscow for this order.
Yevgeny Kiselyov asked Natallia Radzina about the possibility of implementing the scenario voiced by Ukrainian MP Oleh Dunda. He said that the AFU should enter Belarus. The Belarusian journalist believes that such a development of events is unlikely today:
— Perhaps the deputy from the Servant of the People party knows more about the plans of President Volodymyr Zelensky. I do not have such information. Moreover, I do not see any prerequisites for this now. If we are talking about the entry of volunteer units into Belarus, they need to be developed. And do not see the desire of the Ukrainian authorities to work with them today. Unfortunately, they are few in number, and the leadership of Ukraine has not set specific goals. In order for Belarusians to go to war in Ukraine, they must understand why they should do it. Yes, we love Ukraine, support it, we are on its side in this war, but Belarusians will go to war if they have a chance to liberate their own country.
And when the Ukrainian leadership does not say that Belarus will be liberated, Belarusians do not see the point of dying under Vuhledar and Bakhmut. After all, dozens of them died there. When I was asked what to do to increase the number of Belarusian volunteers, I said directly: transfer them to the north. Say that they have a chance, prepare them for the liberation campaign.
So far, we see only negotiations between Ukraine and Lukashenka, and he does not hide it. The dictator spoke about this, commenting on the statement of Oleh Dunda. He bluntly said that there are agreements with Ukraine. Ukrainian political scientists are also talking about a secret non-aggression pact.
Natallia Radzina told what scenario for the liberation of Belarus is more realistic at the moment:
— I believe that in the case of the fall of the regime in Russia after the defeat in the war (and I am convinced that this will happen), changes will start in Belarus. Two scenarios are possible: through a mass popular protest or through a coup by the establishment along with a mass popular protest. This will happen in the same way as in the 80-90s, when the Soviet bloc began to collapse with the collapse of the USSR. Remember 1989, when the weak Soviet Union could not interfere in the politics of neighboring countries. At this time, there was a round table and free elections in Poland, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the velvet revolution in Czechoslovakia, the liberation of Hungary, the execution of dictator Ceausescu in Romania. In Belarus, in 1991, the Soviet establishment "rolled over" and proclaimed themselves to be democrats. This will happen now along with the disintegration of Russia.
I think that in this situation a new coalition government will be created in Belarus. It will have to include political prisoners who will be released from prisons, part of emigration and the establishment.
Of course, there will be resistance from some of the law enforcement agencies and the most corrupt officials who committed crimes against humanity, which the Lukashenka regime is accused of. In this case, the new government of Belarus can invite a peacekeeping force under the auspices of NATO or the UN, following the example of the KFOR forces that are in Kosovo. Belarus can expect the same scenario. If we want to ensure democracy, law and order, and reforms in our country, we must invite the BYFOR peacekeeping force to Belarus. Wa also need to isolate ourself from Russia initially, declare our desire to join the European Union and NATO. We cannot be neutral when bordering Russia.
Natallia Radzina is sure that Lukashenka's time is coming to an end:
— The Soviet Union did not collapse in 1991. Now we are witnessing the final collapse of the USSR. Who are Putin and Lukashenka? This is a decrepit Soviet establishment representatives. One turned 72 years old the day before yesterday, the second recently turned 70. Who does Lukashenka remind me of? Brezhnev at the 26th Congress of the CPSU, which was held in 1981. It is there that his famous phrase sounds that “the economy should be economical”. Lukashenka almost repeated it when he said that "Belarusians should take care of themselves." That's it, they are outgoing figures. The dictators who are still at war with Ukraine and the entire civilized world. I am sure that this is the last throw of Russia to the West, and then we will see the destruction of the evil empire.
I think that this award is the last one that Lukashenka received, he is preparing to leave.
