Russians Unwittingly Reveal True Scale Of AFU Attack On Rostov-on-Don Submarine

The missile also hit the crew.

The Russians have revealed the scale of the AFU attack on the Black Sea Fleet submarine Rostov-on-Don at the Sevastopol naval plant. The strike hit both the crew and the submarine.

An announcement on the website of the St Petersburg Club of Sailors and Veterans of the Russian Navy proves this. Russians are collecting money for the treatment of the injured crew, Glavred reports.

The website has published the bank account of the Sailors' Veterans Club at Sberbank. As of 27 September, more than 148,000 rubles (about $1,500) had been collected. The website also lists the details of the "benefactors".

Attack on submarine in Crimea

On 13 September, the AFU launched missile strikes on the Sevastopol Naval Plant, where the Rostov-on-Don submarine and the large Minsk landing ship were undergoing repairs.

The occupiers did not confirm the losses to the fleet, and there is no official data from the Russian Defence Ministry on casualties among the occupiers.

The GUR, meanwhile, claimed that the ships were most likely "not repairable". The Oryx OSINT community confirmed that the Rostov had been completely destroyed.

The Air Force Command then suggested that the attack had been carried out by Storm Shadow.

Ukraine confirms that it intends to ensure security in the Black Sea by destroying the Black Sea Fleet.
