Blowing Up Main Russian-Chinese Railway: AFU Colonel Reveals Consequences

Not only the SSU could have been involved in the historic operation.

On the night of November 30, there was an explosion on the Baikal-Amur Mainline, located in Buryatia.

It was a successful operation that could have been carried out by the SSU, which paralysed the only serious route of railway communication between Russia and China.

Destroying the enemy's logistics this way helps Ukraine a lot, as it delays military supplies for Russia.

Roman Svitan, a military expert, flight instructor, colonel of the AFU in reserve, told "Channel 24" about this, noting that North Korea recently handed over 2 thousand containers of weapons to Russia.

On What is Known About the Tunnel Explosion

The explosion took place on the Baikal-Amur Mainline, specifically in the Severnomuisky tunnel named after Bessolov - it is the largest railway tunnel in Russia, 15 kilometres long, through which North Korean and Russian military supplies are delivered.

"These are the munitions that China and North Korea share with the Russian army. Accordingly, they get to us and kill our military. Therefore, the undermining of one of the main branches is the merit of the Security Service of Ukraine," the military expert stressed.

The executors could be partisans, Ukrainian agents or the army of "Free Buryatia". Since the republics that are part of Russia are beginning to realise their identity. Even several regiments are fighting on the side of Ukraine, in particular from Ichkeria, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Bashkiria, Tatarstan and Buryatia. There is also the formation of armies inside the aggressor country.

"Using such groups, the Security Service has fulfilled a serious combat task of crossing the logistical routes of military supplies. And the war on our territory is a battle of logistics," Svitan noted.

Destroying the logistics in the tunnels is the best way, because it takes a long time to rebuild. And it also prevents the occupiers from getting weapons from China quickly.

Weapons the DPRK Might Have Handed Over to Russia

US intelligence found that Russian ships have regularly visited the North Korean port of Rason since August 2023. DPRK sent Russia about 2 thousand containers with weapons. The aggressor country needs most of all barrels to artillery and the artillery itself, so it is likely that this is the kind of weaponry North Korea is transferring.

"It was just seen. They were in containers and simply on the platform. Also Russia is asking for machine tools for manufacturing military equipment. So they may be transferred as well," Roman Svitan said.
