Volfavich Backs Out

According to the head of Lukashenka’s Security Council, Western countries no longer “threaten Belarus.”

State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aliaksandr Volfavich stated: "NATO member states neighbouring Belarus will not attack the country, given its strategic partnership with Russia.”

In fact, Volfavich contradicted Lukashenka’s statements.

Lukashenka has repeatedly accused neighbouring countries of posing a threat to Belarus. For example, on March 31 of this year, speaking to “parliament,” he said that Poland was preparing to invade Belarus and planned almost to double the size of its armed forces.
