Russian Army Suffers Huge Losses And Retreats On Border Of Donetsk And Zaporizhzhya Regions

The Ukrainian Defence Forces have defeated the enemy near the settlements of Novopol and Novodovarivka.

As a result of the actions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, the Russian occupants suffered significant losses and retreated near the settlements of Novopol and Novovodarivka.

This is stated in a summary of the General Staff of the AFU on Facebook.

The enemy shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of Vremovka, Poltavka, Krasnoye, Gulyaypole, Orekhov, Kamenskoye and other settlements in the Novopavlovsk and Zaporizhzhya directions. Enemy army aviation was acting in the vicinity of Olgovskoye.

"As a result of the actions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, the enemy suffered significant losses and retreated near the settlements of Novopol and Novodarivka," the General Staff said in the report.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian occupiers were preparing for an offensive in Zaporizhzhya Region.

"The Russian occupation troops have gathered a lot of equipment and personnel at the Velyka Novoselka - Novodarivka - Malinovka section of the front line. The enemy is trying to advance in the direction of Zaporizhzhya, but is having little success, so the disposition of forces on the front has not changed," it was reported in Zaporizhzhya Region.
