AFU First Showed How Self-Propelled Caesar Howitzers Beat Enemy

The new generation weapon destroys the occupier's command posts.

Ukraine's armed forces have shown how they are now actively using self-propelled Caesar howitzers to destroy the occupier's equipment and command posts. Artillerymen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces quickly mastered the new self-propelled howitzers, in fact, in just a few hours.

This was reported on Facebook by Valeriy Zaluzhniy, commander-in-chief of the AFU.

The Caesar is a new generation self-propelled artillery unit. It allows it to hit enemy targets at a distance of 20km or more from the front line with high accuracy. Enemy artillery, reserves and command and control posts are usually located at this distance. Their destruction reduces the enemy's offensive potential.

The self-propelled guns are mounted on wheeled chassis which makes them mobile and manoeuvrable. The automated self-tracking and self-targeting system makes the work of the crew easier.

The Caesar is capable of high rate of fire, 5 rounds per minute and high rate of selective fire. Several types of 155mm NATO caliber ammunition can be used.
