Kalinouski Regiment: Our Strategic Goal Is The Accession Of Belarus To The EU And NATO

Belarusian heroes are fighting for the future of Belarus and Ukraine together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Press Service of the Kastus Kalinouski Regiment stated that the strategic goal of the Belarusian volunteers is the accession of Belarus to the EU and NATO.

– This week, we outlined and approved our strategic goals at a joint meeting of the Kalinouski Regiment. Ukraine, whose independence we are defending today, has declared its firm intention to become a part of the EU and NATO. Therefore, we believe that the desire to join the European Union and become part of NATO is a natural guideline for Belarus.

Belarus can ensure the European development vector only after the de-occupation of our country from Russian troops and the withdrawal of the internal dictatorial regime.

The full text of the statement appeared on the website of the Kastus Kalinouski regiment:

– Considering the centuries-old historical European heritage, being mentally, geographically and historically a part of Europe, the Belarusian regiment named after Kastus Kalinouski believes that the future of the Belarusian nation as an integral cultural, political, military and economic part of the European space. Poland, Lithuania and Latvia - our neighbours with whom we are historically connected with common statehood, have long been members of the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance.

Ukraine, whose independence we are defending today, has declared its firm intention to become part of the EU and NATO. Therefore, we believe that the desire to join the European Union and become part of NATO is a natural guideline for Belarus. Based on recent events, we see that the countries of the Baltic-Black Sea region are our natural allies.

This actualizes the issue of creating the Baltic-Black Sea Сommunity.

The European vector of development of Belarus can be ensured only after the de-occupation of our state from Russian troops and the removal of the internal dictatorial Lukashenka regime.

Ukraine's experience has shown that it is possible to defeat the enemy with the help of modern weapons, innovative technology and the best organization. Only the countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization can provide such support today. NATO provides military guarantees of the security of most European countries, whose military potential is many times inferior to Russia's. We will have sound arguments for a victorious plan relying on military cooperation with the NATO countries as our natural allies.
