Air-Raid Alert Sirens Heard In St. Petersburg

What's going on?

The air-raid alarm sirens have been heard in St Petersburg too. Russians say it seems that a check of the warning systems has begun.

Russian TV channels are reporting this. Some of them have published a corresponding video with the sounds of the sirens.

You can hear in the published video the air-raid alarms going off in St Petersburg. Russians say the sounds "made them feel scared".

"Now it's getting a bit scary. Someone said that the air-raid alert system in St. Petersburg has been tested," residents of St. Petersburg wrote on social networks.

It is noted that the air-raid alarm was heard in the vicinity of the St Petersburg City Court building in Moskovsky district of the northern capital.

"Well, Russians will have to get used to the sound of the air-raid alarm. Perhaps they are being prepared for something," 24tv.ua wrote.
