Armed Forces Of Ukraine Close ‘Mousetrap Door’ For Russian Army Grouping In Lyman

The enemy is surrounded.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have closed the “mousetrap door” for the grouping of Russian troops in the temporarily uncontrolled Lyman in the Donetsk region.

Ukrainian media write about this, and a map published by Zerkalo Weekly also testifies to this.

The publication refers to sources located directly in the combat zone, which confirm the information about the encirclement of the Russians.

They note that the Russian units located in Lyman are unlikely to get out of the “mouse trap” since they do not have the weapons necessary for a breakthrough.

In addition, Ukrainian intelligence interceptions testify to the extremely low level of morale of the personnel of the Russian units that were surrounded.

Earlier, the Russian media and public on social media wrote about the planned breakthrough of the Russian group of troops from the encirclement.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky also announced the gains of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Eastern Front in an evening video message.

“There is enough public information about this. Everyone heard what was happening in Lyman, Donetsk region,” the head of state said and added that these steps mean a lot for Ukraine.

Earlier on Friday, it became known that the Ukrainian military took control of the settlements of Yampil and Drobysheve on the outskirts of Lyman.

In turn, the Russian media wrote that the fighting was already taking place on the administrative borders of Lyman, and the road near Torske towards Kreminna was under the fire control of Ukrainian artillery.

Russian saboteur, former FSB officer Igor Girkin (Strelkov) also reported the encirclement of the Russian troops in Lyman.
