Budanov on Lukashenka's Sochi Visit: Putin Tries To Drag Belarus Into War

The Russian Federation is considering a “specific format” for the regime's participation in the war.

Russian President Vladimir Putin tried to drag Belarus into the war during Aliaksandr Lukashenka's visit to Sochi on September 26.

This was stated by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Kirylo Budanov, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to his interview on the air of the national telethon.

He noted that the Russian leadership is considering a “specific format” of Belarus' participation in the war.

“There is a certain format that was offered to him, I won’t voice it now. Lukashenka, in his characteristic traits, is trying to avoid this, that is, he does not refuse and does not agree either. And he is doing everything to prevent this from happening,” said Budanov.
