One Of World's Largest Oil Producers Refuses To Buy Oil From Gutseriev

The sanctions are working.

France's TotalEnergies has asked the S&P Global Platts pricing agency to ensure that batches of oil in its trading system do not belong to companies of EU sanctioned Mikhail Gutseriyev, Reuters reports.

On Tuesday, TotalEnergies issued a purchase order for the cargo with transshipment in the Baltic port of Primorsk on July 9-13 with the proviso: "the batch fully complies with EU sanctions."

One of the traders reported to Interfax that the market is now very cautious about the oil of Gutseriev's companies to avoid being hit by sanctions. The main buyer of oil of Gutseriev's companies, especially RussNeft, is Swiss trader Glencore.
