Investigation of the protest enterprise.
Cyber partisans provided personal data of the management of the Minsk Wheeled Tractor Plant.
The Belarusian Association of Workers (BAW) conducted an additional investigation.
Rymasheuski Aliaksei Ivanavich, director of Minsk Wheeled Tractor Plant, started his career as a turner and continued as chief engineer. He was promoted to the chief engineer after the detention of Andrei Golovach on May 5, 2015. He was detained by officers of the Main Directorate for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption (GUBOPiK) on suspicion of bribery. The investigation said the chief engineer had taken bribes "for assistance in supplying the plant with cutting and auxiliary tools". The case allegedly included 35 episodes of bribery. Since that day, Andrei Albertovich was taken into custody and sent to the detention center on Volodarskogo Street. He spent there three years. Rymasheuski, the deputy chief engineer for production preparation, took his place. He took the position of Director General at MZKT early in 2020.
According to the employees, the newly appointed director falls far short of a competent director: "He does not know the basics of the company management. How to sell the goods? He doesn't know. How to manage effectively? Doesn't know. Not to mention marketing. But Aliaksei Ivanavich has always liked football and supports it at any level. And the company pays the fees and buys all the equipment".
After the elections, on August 15, 2020, the director of MZKT said the following in public: "I voted for the current head of state, but I agree that he did not win the election." Then, as is typical of all sycophants, he backed out when he realized that the words he said could turn out badly for him. He said that "I tried to find a common language with the protesters under the pressure of the crowd".
In an interview with media-polesye.by Hienadz Sinegouski, former director of MZKT, commented on the actions of his former deputy: "In this situation, I would have acted tougher. I would have joined the workers and supported the strike because it is impossible to tolerate such cruelty and lies of the authorities. After all, the election fraud is obvious. And the mockery of innocent citizens is also obvious.
On August 17th, 2020, Lukashenka visited Minsk Wheeled Tractor Plant (MZKT), its director had earlier stated that the dictator had lost the election. At the plant, Lukashenka first met with the management of the plant behind a closed door. It is not known what they discussed. The Belarusian media began to write that it would be the end of the dictator's visit. However, the dictator came out to the dissatisfied workers.
The dictator was met with a thundering "Go away!" and "Shame on you!" at the striking plant. The increasingly demoralized usurper was booed by the employees. Lukashenka's every phrase was accompanied by the disgruntled rumbling of the protesting workers. He was not allowed to say a word. After that, Lukashenka left the podium. That day, the whole world was once again convinced how much the Belarusian people hated him.
On October 26, 2020, MZKT joined the People's ultimatum: employees of the enterprise continued to express their dissatisfaction with the authorities and demanded Lukashenka's immediate resignation. Some of the strikers remained at home, while others refused to work at the workplace until the demands were met.
Rymasheuski must have had an equally odious deputy, Aliaksandr Vetsianevich, because of the striking mood at the enterprise. He was appointed deputy general director for safety, regime and personnel on November 19, 2020. Before that, Vetsianevich worked as head of the Molodechno interdistrict department of the KGB administration for Minsk and the Minsk region.
Vetsianevich's specific plan of work with personnel included three main points: refusal to prolong contracts with anyone seen at the rallies; transfer of personnel to part-time work; and outsourcing of some of the functions of the departments. Even then, it meant mass layoffs of employees. Interestingly, the employees who received additional workload because of cuts were entitled to a "generous" additional payment of 3% of the rate (salary).
The economic situation at MZKT is even worse. Even before the sanctions, the plant's profits fell several times during the year as compared to 2019. MZKT's profit from sales for 2020 was almost 24.1 million rubles (a year earlier, it was almost 42.5 million). The cumulative profit at the end of 2020 was almost 7.2 million rubles (a year before - almost 22.8 million). MZKT decided to pay dividends at the rate of 19.19 rubles per common share (in 2019 - 40.09 rubles).
In 2020, the number of workers decreased by 307 specialists and continues to decrease.
In support of the workers, as well as during the Heat Operation, cyber partisans provided the Belarusian Association of Workers (BAW) with data on the management of MZKT.
