Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz Held Divine Service 20 Kilometres From the Belarusian Border

The leader of the Belarusian Catholics has been unable to return to his homeland.

Metropolitan Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz of Minsk and Mogilev prayed for Belarus in the small town of Orla (województwo podlaskie, Poland), 20 km from the Polish-Belarusian border. The leader of the Belarusian Catholics has been unable to return to his homeland for weeks; his passport has been annulled, reports Euroradio. The majority of residents of the Orla commune belong to the Belarusian minority in Poland and are believers of the Orthodox Church. The small Catholic community is mostly Polish. Especially for the service, local Catholics prepared both songs and divine texts in Belarusian.
