Will We Remain Silent, Or Start Defending Our Leaders?

The news from Yarmoshyna’s circus surprised no one.

Will we wipe the spitting off our faces, or will we give a proper response? Will we remain silent, or start defending our leaders? Will we pretend nothing happened, or demand fair elections and registration of the most popular presidential candidate? These are the questions asked by a reader of the ‘Basta!’ Telegram channel from Minsk:

- The news from Yarmoshyna’s circus surprised no one. Today, they spat in the faces of not only 400 thousand belarusians, who put their signatures for Viktar Babaryka. They spat in the faces of all of us - all those who wanted fair elections.

Even when isolated, thrown to jail, Viktar Babaryka, who cannot possibly be holding a full-fledged electoral campaign from behind the bars, turned to be so dangerous for ‘Alex the 3%’, that this cowardly 3% oldman refused him the right to be a presidential candidate. First, they did this trick with the arrest of Siarhei Tsikhanouski in order to prevent him from nominating. Now the Borsch-Cooker took on the function of a prosecutor in a courtroom, having read from paper the bullshit no one believes in.

Now it’s only up to us whether we keep tolerating this, remain silent, or we will finally start struggling for our leaders; whether we pretend nothing happened, or demand fair elections and registration of the most popular presidential candidate.
