Belarus And Russia Agreed On Compensation For "Dirty" Oil

Belnautakhim will get the price of $15 per barrel.

Belarus and Russia have signed a protocol on compensation for dirty oil and thee expected price is $15 per barrel, Belnautakhim Deputy Chairman Uladzimir Sizou says, BelTA informs.

"We're working actively and the protocol has already been signed indicating that the Russian side is ready to compensate, - Uladzimir Sizou says. - The work is underway aimed at establishing and confirming the compensation payments, which will eventually be paid to the Mazyr Oil Refinery.

The Belnautakhim Deputy Chairman notes that this is the amount "similar to that of other parties involved in the story with dirty oil," - these are counterparties in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. "It became known from open sources that they received compensation in the amount of $ 15 per barrel of supplied oil with high content of organochlorine," - he adds.

On April 19, 2019, Belnautakhim announced a sharp deterioration in the quality of Russian oil Urals, coming from the pipeline Druzhba. The content of organochlorine compounds in it was dozens of times higher than the limit values of the standard. As a result, a number of countries stopped processing Russian oil. Both Belarusian refineries - the Mazyr Refinery and Naftan - had to reduce capacity load and suffered losses, and the pipeline system was also damaged.
