Miasnikovich To Meet With President And Prime Minister Of Poland

The visit of the Belarusian state delegation will take place from February 11 to February 14.

The official parliamentary delegation of Belarus headed by the Chairman of the Council of the Republic, Mikhail Miasnikovich, will make an official visit to Poland from February 11 to February 14, the press service of the upper chamber reports.

In Warsaw, meetings are scheduled with the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, and the Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Negotiations between Miasnikovich and the head of the Senate (Marshal) Stanisław Karczewski and Marshal of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński will also take place. In addition, a meeting will be held with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Jacek Czaputowicz. A visit to the Polish Academy of Sciences is scheduled, BelaPAN reports.

“During the talks at the high and top levels, topical issues of the bilateral agenda will be discussed – trade, economic and investment cooperation, interaction in the field of education, science, culture and other areas of mutual interest. Special attention will be paid to the role of the parliamentary dimension in strengthening Belarusian-Polish relations. The signing of a social security agreement is planned,” – the press service specified.

Miasnikovich will also visit Bialystok, where he will meet with representatives of the Belarusian national minority, the leadership of the Podlaskie province, and will visit the medical university.
