Baranavichy Resident Shared Unknown Details About Taxi Drivers' Strike

The authorities are unable to control the situation.

Baranavichy reader Aliaksandr told the Basta telegram channel about the taxi drivers' strike in his town: "I'm sorry:

- We have a second round of Yandex taxi drivers' strike. The authorities are not always able to control passenger traffic and as a result it turns out that anyone can enter this sphere if only they pay a penny. This causes a lot of problems.

For example, recently the number of illegal drivers has increased, who not only drive old-aged cars, but also do not always observe elementary traffic rules, and as a result - there are accidents, dissatisfied customers and negative attitude to taxi drivers in general.

We could say that this is a problem only for taxi drivers, but in fact it all affects us, the final consumers. Since the Ministry of Transport is unable to establish high-quality suburban passenger route transportation in such towns as Baranavichy, people are sometimes forced to use a taxi. Since legal taxi drivers have been subjected to control and taxation, it is cheaper to "do gypsy rides" illegally.

It would be very desirable to draw the officials' attention to this problem, but it seems that they are busy doing more important things, and the social components are hardly included in this list.
