A bold event in support of the blocked site has taken place in the center of Minsk.
In the afternoon of March 13, activists of the European Belarus civil campaign put up a large banner "Freedom To Charter-97!" at the entrance to Chaliuskintsau Park, Independence Avenue.
Activists fired missiles to attract the attention of passers-by and car drivers.
"We have the Constitution. Soon, on March 15, there even will be the so-called Constitution Day. And the Constitution, among other things, guarantees us the right to disseminate and receive information," Maksim Viniarski, a European Belarus coordinator, said in an interview to Belsat TV.
We remind that on January 24, Lukashenka's regime blocked the independent information resource Charter97.org. The blocking was confirmed by the first deputy minister of information Ihar Lutski. The Ministry of Information is headed by Aliaksandr Karliukevich.
