Aliaksandr Kazulin: Authorities No Longer Know What To Do

The independent website really influences the situation in Belarus.

The former candidate for the presidency of Belarus in the 2006 election Aliaksandr Kazulin stated this commenting on the blocking of the Charter97.org website:

– It is clear that the authorities no longer know what to do if they block an independent site this way, without explaining the reasons.

The blocking indicates that Belarus needs the Charter-97 website. This means that the site influences the situation and the authorities are afraid of something.

We should fight for freedom of speech in Belarus, show solidarity with the Charter-97 and with all journalists persecuted in our country. If people are unanimous, then they are not disunited. And if they are not disunited, they are already free in some sense.
