25 Thousand Brest Residents Added To Base Of “Parasites”

The majority of the unemployed just leave Belarus.

Nearly twenty-five thousand people from Brest got into the base of “parasites”, Radio Racyja reports. They will get utility bills with full payment for services. Such official data have been voiced by local officials. The chairman of the Brest city organization of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada), Hanna Kanius, notesthat the majority of the unemployed simply go abroad:

– People depart in search of better lives to Poland and Ukraine to work and earn money there. This figure of 24 thousand people is terrible, because every day we hear that we live in a good country, where there is a good economy. However, what a good economy we can talk about if so many people cannot get a job.

A little over seventeen thousand people without work have been found in Maskouski district and over seven thousand in Leninski district. All of these people had not provided information that would confirm their employment in the region before March 1 of this year.
