The law-enforcers have been searching the house of well-known Biaroza blogger Aliaksandr Kabanau since the morning of March 7. This has been reported by “Viasna” HR defender Uladzimir Vialichkin.
The reasons for and the details of the search remain unknown, Kabanau’s phone is now unavailable.
Human rights activists are trying to clarify the circumstances.
Aliaksandr Kabanau is the laureate of the national award in the field of defense of human rights in 2018 in two nominations: “For courage in creative work” and “For personal courage”.
The blogger holds investigations uncovering the authorities’ corruption and thefts.
