European Games Opening And Closing To Cost Minsk $ 12 Million

This is a cosmic sum for Belarus.

The right to organize the opening and closing ceremonies was won by a Russian company, Art City-5.

Composer Igor Krutoy is the general producer, Euroradio reports.

According to the tender documents, the cost of two ceremonies is 25 million 129 thousand 725 rubles. The scenarios of the opening and closing will be ready on October 25.

The second European Games will be held in Minsk in June 2019. The opening is scheduled for June 21, the closing – for June 30.

$ 12 million is an enormous amount for Belarus. Usually the sponsors of the games bear such costs, and not the budget of the country that receives them.
