DW And ARD Offices Damaged In Kiev After Massive Russian Attack

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz sharply condemned the strike by the Russian occupiers.

As a result of a massive attack by Russian troops on Kiev on the night of Sunday, May 24, the offices of German media companies DW and ARD were damaged.

This is reported by Deutsche Welle.

The head of DW's Kiev bureau Nikolai Berdnik said that the shock waves significantly damaged the windows and ceilings in the office.

There was no one in the office at the time of the attack. Now, according to Berdnik, journalists continue to work.

The office of German public broadcaster ARD was also damaged.

"Ukraine has experienced one of the largest-scale Russian air strikes. Hundreds of drones, dozens of missiles, dead, wounded, significant destruction. The shockwave even reached the ARD studio in Kiev. Fortunately, our team was unharmed. Torn out window frames, splinters everywhere, mangled equipment - to see your own workplace in such a desolate state is a real shock," said studio head Vasyliy Golod.

Merz condemned Russia's attack on Ukraine

On social network X, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz condemned the massive Russian strike on Ukraine on the night of May 24.

"On the night of Trinity (Catholics and Protestants this year celebrate the holiday on May 24. - Ed.), Russia massively attacked civilian targets in Ukraine. Once again, the "Nuttall" missile system was used. The Federal Government strongly condemns this ruthless escalation. Germany continues to stand firmly on the side of Ukraine," he said.
