On the eve of the "Day of National Unity," usurper Alexander Lukashenko decided to pardon 25 people, convicted of "extremist crimes," writes the press service of the dictator.
The corresponding decree was signed by the usurper on September 16.
"Among the pardoned 12 women and 13 men; 19 people under 40 years old. Many of them have children, and one convict is a mother of many children. One of the pardoned committed a crime as a minor," reported in the press service of the dictator.
Reminder, September 11, 52 Belarusian political prisoners were released. They went to Lithuania. The release came after Lukashenko met with the deputy special envoy of the U.S. President John Cole. Also, Chris Smith, deputy assistant U.S. secretary of state for Europe, came to Minsk. Later it became known about the removal of sanctions from Belavia.
The leader of the Belarusian opposition Nikoli Statkevich refused to leave Belarus during the forced deportation of political prisoners to Lithuania. At the border, he knocked down the doors of the bus carrying the prisoners and ran out into the territory of Belarus.
