Fox News: Putin Tells Whitkoff He Wants To Meet With Trump

The US president expressed his readiness to talk if the result of this meeting would be an end to the war in Ukraine.

Russian ruler Vladimir Putin said in a meeting with the U.S. leader's special envoy Steve Whitkoff that he wants to meet with Donald Trump "at some point," Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy reported, citing White House sources.

He said Whitkoff relayed the message to Trump, who is "open to having that conversation as early as next week if the outcome of that meeting is an end to the war in Ukraine."

Doocy also quoted a message from White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt as saying that "the Russians have expressed a desire to meet with President Trump." "And the president is open to meeting with both President Putin and President Zelensky as early as next week," the reporter quoted Livitt as saying.
