Expert Discloses Unexpected Scenario Of Ukrainian Army Advancing Into Other Russian Regions
Oleksiy Hetman

Churchill spoke about this strategy.

In the Kursk region, in comparison with the situation in the Pokrov or Toretsk directions, the AFU is making significant progress. Therefore, military analyst Oleksiy Hetman suggested that an interesting option would be to enter other regions of the Russian Federation and control much more territories.

“We [Ukrainians] are advancing in a day as the Russians are advancing in a month. How much progress did they make in 2024 after Avdiivka? If we take not the area, but the vector, how deep have they advanced deep into the Ukrainian territory? In the Pokrovsky direction, they advanced by 5 km per year, "the speaker notes on the live broadcast of the FREEDOM TV channel.

According to Hetman, a country that starts a war should be aware that hostilities may sooner or later spread to its territory.

“Churchill spoke about this. Everything is natural. The offensive is in the opposite direction. They [Russian propagandists] will probably say that all this is going according to plan. They also, as they say, "special military operation" is going according to plan. Only it is not clear at what period the operation of Ukrainian troops on the territory of the Russian Federation was included in this plan. Ideally, when we talk about peace from a position of strength, it would be very nice for us to enter other regions of the Russian Federation and control much more territories," Hetman said.

According to him, such a development may become a reality in the near future, since Ukraine needs strong positions for negotiations.

"If we controlled part of the neighboring regions of the Russian Federation, it would be wonderful. Perhaps this was hinted at by Commander [of the Armed Forces of Ukraine] Syrskyi when he said that you cannot win a war while being on the defensive all the time. From a position of strength, it will be if there are Ukrainian troops in Belarus and Transnistria. This will be from a position of strength. Maybe this is wrong from a political point of view, but from a purely subjective emotional point of view, I fully support such ideas," Hetman said.
