Russian media report that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have launched a counteroffensive in the area of Cherkasskaya Konopelka. Today, February 6, in the sixth month of fighting in this section of the front, the Ukrainian Armed Forces, after a long defense, went on the offensive. This was reported by Russian military correspondents. According to them, the Ukrainian armored vehicles are moving directly along the highway south of Sudzha, Dialog.UA reports.
Presumably, the Ukrainian forces are targeting the settlement of Ulanok, where Putin's army had previously managed to push back Ukrainian units. There is no additional information on the progress of the fighting yet.
Meanwhile, analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) report that as of February 5, neither the Russian Armed Forces nor the Ukrainian Armed Forces had made significant gains on the battlefield.
The fighting took place in the areas of Sverdlikovo and Malaya Loknya. At the same time, Russian war correspondents claim that Putin's army is successful in the Nikolayevo-Daryino and Sverdlikovo areas, but ISW has not found any visual confirmation of these claims. It is known that units of the 34th motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Armed Forces are operating in the Pogrebki area.
Ukrainian sources report that there has been an increase in suicides among North Korean servicemen in order to avoid being captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
While Russian soldiers often blow themselves up with grenades or shoot themselves in the head, North Korean soldiers prefer hanging themselves.
In one such case, the Ukrainian Armed Forces found a North Korean sign denoting the sky on a tree with the body of Kim’s soldier.
