Environmentalists report the deaths of thousands of dolphins.

The Russians have actually destroyed the Kinburn Spit and the unique Ascania Nova nature reserve with their military actions in southern Ukraine.

This was stated by the speaker of the Ukrainian Navy Dmitry Pletenchuk, reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to his speech on the air of the national telethon.

"We are talking about the very nature reserve - Ascania Nova." Environmentalists have already sounded the alarm and appealed to me, asking me to draw attention to this topic, because it is, unfortunately, not too much discussed in the media," - said Pletenchuk.

He also emphasized that Kinburn Spit is actually destroyed. At the same time, it is impossible to say whether and when the reserve ("Askania-Nova" - ed.) will be restored. The fighting around Crimea has a significant impact on the flora and fauna.

According to various estimates, environmentalists report the death of thousands of dolphins, because they are very sensitive to explosions.

According to the representative of the Ukrainian Navy, environmentalists from Odessa region informed about the appearance of oil slicks, which have already reached the coast near Odessa, although their scale is much smaller than on the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea.
