Drones Hit A Power Plant In The Russian Town Of Volgorechensk

The moments of the arrivals were shown on video.

On the night of November 6, strike drones attacked a thermal power plant in the town of Volgorechensk, Russia's Kostroma region, which has a capacity of 3,600 MW, Focus reported.

"Volgorechensk, Kostroma region, was attacked by a thermal power plant," reads the caption to the video, which captures the moments of the attacks on the Russian power plant.

The governor of the Kostroma region, Sergei Sitnikov, said at around 6 a.m. Kiev time that a drone attack had been repelled in Volgorechensk.

"Toward morning, residents heard the defense system working - several loud "pops" were heard. Now operational services are working on the site to eliminate the consequences on the energy infrastructure. Electricity supply is not disrupted. There are no casualties," Sitnikov explained.

At the time of publication of the material, the Ukrainian side did not comment on the strike on the TPP in Volgorechensk.

We note that the Kostromskaya TPP is a thermal power plant located in the city of Volgorechensk on the right bank of the Volga River.
