The current U.S. government shutdown has become the longest in the nation's history.

When the government reopens, the United States will experience rapid economic growth, President Donald Trump said at a breakfast meeting with senators. The event was broadcast by the White House's YouTube channel.

"We are in the midst of a disastrous Democratic shutdown. It is now the longest in U.S. history <...>. There will be an economic boom as soon as they open," the American leader said.

On November 5, the current U.S. government shutdown officially became the longest in the country's history. It came after the Senate failed to approve a bill to short-term fund the government after the fourteenth attempt.
