The presidents of Ukraine and Lithuania held a telephone conversation.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky offered Lithuania help with threats from Belarus during a telephone conversation with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda. They discussed migration pressure and "aerial objects" from our country, Zelensky's press service reported on November 5.
"We discussed possible threats to Lithuania from Belarus due to hybrid attacks by migration waves and aerial objects. I offered our help. We will work to ensure more security in our region and in friendly Lithuania," said Zelensky.
He noted that the conversation with Nauseda was good, while Lithuania has been helping Ukraine since the beginning of the war and the country appreciates all the support provided. The discussion included Lithuania's help with gas in the energy sector.
The press service of the Lithuanian leader said: Nauseda said that the country was ready for solutions that would ensure uninterrupted supplies of liquefied natural gas to Ukraine through the Klaipeda terminal. Also, Lithuania "seeks to achieve as much tangible progress as possible in the negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the European Union by the end of this year".
