Kiev and Oslo will also deploy joint defense production on Ukrainian territory.

Norway will allocate seven billion dollars to Ukraine next year for defense needs. Also Ukraine and Norway will deploy joint defense production on Ukrainian territory.

This is reported by Charter97.org with reference to the message of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denis Shmygal.

Shmygal said that during his working visit to Norway he met with his colleague Tore Sandvik and received an invitation to the meeting of defense ministers of the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF). This is the first time Ukraine will participate in such a format.

At the end of the meeting several documents were signed:

memorandum on common quality standards for defense products manufactured or supplied under joint agreements between the states;

memorandum on the establishment of a joint defense enterprise in Ukraine by Ukrainian and Norwegian companies.

"We discussed with our colleague the priority needs of the AFU and strengthening of air defense. Ukraine is ready to share its experience in countering enemy drones," the minister said.

Shmygal added that Sandvik, for his part, confirmed further support for Ukraine. Norway will allocate seven billion dollars next year to help Ukraine meet its defense needs.

"I am grateful to the government and people of Norway for their weighty contribution, providing F-16s and support for Ukrainian aviation, for participation in the PURL initiative and in the Maritime Capabilities Coalition," Shmygal summarized.
