The whole political biography of the Belarusian dictator is a model of political prostitution.
This was stated by the well-known Ukrainian journalist Vitaly Portnikov in a conversation with the Armenian politician, deputy head of the party "In the Name of the Republic" Ruben Mehrabian. The site Charter97.org quotes a fragment of the conversation, in which the topic of Belarusian-Russian relations was touched upon.
- Mr. Portnikov, the Belarusian dictator recalled that he and Putin will decide and bang either "Oreshnik" or hawthorn. What is it connected with, why did he suddenly flare up so suddenly? Telegram channels close to the Russian security forces report, citing insiders, that he has a five-billion-dollar budget deficit and needs something to cover it. He is blackmailing Moscow that it should be direct financing, not in debt, otherwise the western direction of defense of the "allied state" will collapse. But Moscow says: then we'll just take away the Mozyr oil refinery from him. It is clear that the economy of Belarus is getting worse, and this angers the dictator.
- Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko is an elderly man of easy behavior. He has been behaving this way since 1994. If it is necessary to see what a model of political prostitution looks like, this is the entire political biography of Alexander Grigorievich, who came to power with the support of Russian special services, having beaten the representative of the traditional Belarusian nomenclature, former Prime Minister Kebich in the presidential election. He triumphantly beat him with slogans about restoring ties with Russia and fighting corruption, although in Moscow Kebich was seen as the man who would restore economic ties with Russia.
For several decades he fed the Russian nightingale with fables about unification, about integration, about the possibility of a real union of former Soviet republics, about the role of Belarus in this union. What he did not arrange, what he did not sign, what he did not invent to buy Russian oil at internal Russian prices, to make oil products from this Russian oil and sell them for dollars.
You know, if each of us were given a tank of oil at internal Russian prices and told that we could do whatever we wanted with it, we would be billionaires after a couple of years of such a wonderful business. It doesn't take much intelligence. But it turns out that it is possible, so to speak, by such promises, and not by love itself (it is also necessary to be able to do it, you know) to create a whole fortune and stability of absolutely anachronistic, untalented, stupid and anti-people and anti-national dictatorship present in Belarus.
During the reign of this man, the number of native speakers of the Belarusian language decreased to dangerous figures, the Belarusian culture was actually crushed - even in the form in which it existed under the Communists. The leading Belarusian writers and poets turned out to be enemies of the people. It's just a shame, do you understand? This is just an example. I'm not talking about the economy itself. In 2020, with the help of the presidential election in Belarus, Moscow masterfully trapped its client and prepared an attack on Ukraine. But the fact that Russia has been floundering in Ukraine for so many years, unable to achieve its goals, allows Lukashenko to once again move away from the fright he experienced in 2020, when he realized that he was sitting on Russian bayonets and nothing else, that the Belarusian people despised and hated him, and to switch to blackmail again.
