Explosions occurred in Bashkortostan and the Nizhny Novgorod region.
On the night of November 3-4, a series of explosions erupted in the city of Kstovo (Nizhny Novgorod Region, Russian Federation). Local residents reported a fire at the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery, New Voice writes.
The refinery is located about 800 kilometers from the Ukrainian border and has already been attacked by long-range drones several times.
Rosaviatsiya officials say the airport in Nizhny Novgorod has also been suspended.
The Exilenova+ project reports that explosions were later reported at a petrochemical plant in Sterlitamak, Bashkortostan.
At the same time, local authorities initially denied an attack on the plant and claim that "there was an explosion in one of the water treatment shops." In addition, according to preliminary information, a room partially collapsed. Five people were in the shop at the time of the incident, the officials concluded.
Later, however, the head of Bashkortostan, Radi Khabirov, had to admit the drone attack on the plant. Nevertheless, he claimed that "both drones were shot down" and said that "the enterprise was operating normally."
