Trump Responded To Putin's Nuclear Bluff

U.S. begins nuclear testing.

The United States has "enough nuclear weapons to blow up the world 150 times," but the states will not be "the only country that does not test nuclear weapons."

U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with CBS News. "We have more nuclear weapons than other countries. We have to do something about denuclearization," he said.

Trump said he has discussed the issue with Chinese leader Si Jinping and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. "We have enough nuclear weapons to blow up the world 150 times. Russia has a lot of nuclear weapons, and China will have a lot," he said.

Trump noted that he does not want the U.S. "to be the only country that doesn't test."

"We will test nuclear weapons like other countries do. Russia tests, China tests, but they don't talk about it. We are an open society. We are different. We're talking about it," the White House chief shared his plans.

In late October, Trump instructed the Pentagon to begin testing nuclear weapons. At the time, he claimed he did not want to make such a decision, however, he said he "had no choice."
