How did the situation on the southern front change?

Fierce fighting continues in Zaporizhzhya and the south of Dnipropetrovsk region. The enemy does not reduce the intensity of assault actions, massive artillery shelling and fire strikes.

In particular, over the past day, almost four dozen military clashes were recorded in the Alexandrovsky and Gulyaipol directions.

According to the data, over 350 shellings with the use of more than 1,500 ammunition were recorded there. The enemy losses amounted to almost 300 personnel and 58 units of combat equipment, including a tank, armored vehicles, artillery systems and light-engine vehicles.

In connection with the regrouping of combat orders, the reconfiguration of the line of contact, as well as in order to save the lives of servicemen, there was a withdrawal of our units from the village of Novovasilievskoye to more favorable positions for defense.

"The measures of blocking the enemy advance and inflicting a combined fire attack on him continue," the military reported.

The situation in Zaporizhzhya region

Intense fighting continues in the Zaporizhzhya direction. Ukrainian units were forced to withdraw from their positions in the Rovnopolye district and near the settlements of Novouspenovskoye, Novoye, Okhotnichye, Uspenovka and Novonikolayevka in the Zaporizhzhya region.

The AFU commander-in-chief Alexander Syrsky said earlier that the Russian occupants managed to capture three settlements during the offensive, with heavy fighting going on for two more villages.
