The strike on Novorossiysk was one of the largest in recent months.
Ukraine's strike on Russia's Novorossiysk port on the night of Friday, November 14, stopped 2% of the world's oil supplies. In addition, it led to an increase in world prices.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Reuters.
The agency, citing sources, writes that the Novorossiysk port, which is key to Russia's oil trade, has temporarily stopped oil exports. We are talking about 2.2 million barrels per day, or 2% of world supplies.
It is noted that this strike was one of the largest in recent months on the oil export infrastructure of the aggressor country. It was a continuation of a series of Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries to weaken Moscow's ability to finance the war.
Reuters added that due to supply concerns, global oil prices jumped by more than 2% after the strike.
Reminder, the AFU General Staff confirmed that on the night of November 14, a strike was hit on the basing point of the Novorossiysk ships in Russia's Krasnodar region. They hit with Ukrainian Neptun missiles and attack drones.
