And he gave me a timeline.

Border crossings with Belarus will be opened early next week, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said. He added that this was due to a decrease in pressure on the border. However, he emphasized that this is an autonomous decision of Poland and it was not influenced by Minsk's actions, wp.pl reported.

- I promised to open border crossings in Bialystok. This is not the opening of the border. This is the opening of crossings connected with very specific interests of the local population, entrepreneurs, residents. So this is in no way an element of any political negotiations or possible prisoner exchange," said Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

- This decision was autonomous and related to understandable pressure from local residents. I'm talking about the inhabitants of Podlasie, especially those who live near the border and bear already very great hardships caused by the aggressive policy of Belarus," he added.

Polish Prime Minister confirmed that the crossings will be opened at the beginning of the week.

As the site Charter97.org wrote, two Polish border crossings on the border with Belarus are scheduled to open on November 17. This is stated in a draft decree of the Ministry of Interior and Administration of Poland.

According to the document, November 17, 2025, traffic will resume through two still closed road border crossing points on the Polish-Belarusian border - "Bobrowniki" (from the Belarusian side - "Berestovitsa") and "Kuznica" ("Bruzgi").

"Kuznica" is planned to open only for passenger cars, excluding buses. "Bobrovniki" - both for cars and buses. Also cargo transport will be allowed through this border crossing, but with restrictions: only vehicles registered in the EU countries, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) states - participants of the agreement on the European Economic Area, and in Switzerland.
