Ukraine's president revealed the aftermath of the overnight attack.
On the night of November 14, Russia launched about 430 drones and 18 missiles at Ukraine, with Kiev as the main direction of attack. In addition, in the morning, the Russians used a Zirkon missile in the Sumy region. This was reported by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
"Since night our emergency services have been working at the sites of Russian strikes. Sneaky shelling. As of now we already know about dozens of wounded people, including children and a pregnant woman. Unfortunately, four people have been killed. My condolences to the family and friends. About 430 drones and 18 missiles were in the strike, including ballistics and aeroballistics," he said.
Zelensky said it was a specially calculated attack to hurt people and civilian infrastructure as much as possible.
"Only in Kiev there is destruction in dozens of high-rise buildings. The Azerbaijani Embassy has been damaged by Iskander debris. The main direction of the attack is Kiev, and it also hit Kiev, Kharkiv and Odessa regions. According to preliminary data, in the morning the Russians used a Zirkon missile in Sumy region," the head of state noted.
He emphasized that Ukraine responds to these strikes with long-range force, and the world should stop these strikes against life sanctioned.
"Russia can still sell oil and build its schemes. That all has to stop. A lot of work is going on with partners for the sake of strengthening air defense, but not enough. We need reinforcement with additional systems and interceptor missiles. Europe and the US can help. We count on real solutions," the Ukrainian president added.
Zelensky also discussed the horrific Russian attack with Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
"Alex expressed his condolences to all the Ukrainian people and condemned this despicable attack by the Russians. Thanked him for these words of support. We discussed further support for Ukraine on all possible fronts and our joint steps with partners to pressure Russia. Only pressure - sanctions and force - can force the Russians to end this war, which no one but them has ever needed. We will do everything possible for this," the head of state said.
