Sibiga, In Meeting With Rubio, Called For Increasing The "price Of War" For Putin

They discussed Ukraine's defense.

The United States is steadfast in working with partners to encourage Russian Federation to engage in diplomacy and direct dialog with Ukraine for the sake of a lasting and lasting peace. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said this in X on November 12.

He said he met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga and G7 counterparts at the G7 Foreign Ministers Summit in Canada to "discuss ways to strengthen Ukraine's defense and end this bloody conflict."

Sibiga noted in X that he updated Rubio on the current battlefield situation in the war against Russian Federation, peace efforts and priorities to strengthen Ukraine's defense and energy resilience.

"Glad to meet with Marco Rubio during our G7 session in Canada. Ukraine appreciates the peace efforts of [US] President [Donald] Trump and the very effective energy sanctions against Russia," the Ukrainian minister emphasized.

Sibiga called for "continuing to increase the price of war" for Russian President Vladimir Putin and his regime by "forcing Russia to end the war."

Sibiga is visiting Canada at the invitation of Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand.
