Trump Issued An Ultimatum To Air Traffic Controllers

Staff shortages amid the shutdown led to massive flight cancelations ahead of Thanksgiving.

US President Donald Trump has demanded that air traffic controllers return to their jobs, threatening to cut the pay of those who don't show up for work. His words are quoted by Bloomberg.

"All air traffic controllers must return to work IMMEDIATELY!!!" - Trump wrote in Truth Social.

The White House chief promised a $10,000 bonus to those who continue to work through the shutdown.

"For those air traffic controllers who have been GREAT PATRIOTS and have not taken a PAY OFF because of the Democrats' trickery with the shutdown, I will recommend a BONUS of $10,000 per person for outstanding service to our country," he claimed.

Air traffic controllers in the US have been working without pay since the government shutdown began on October 1. They have increasingly started taking sick leave, Bloomberg reported. Due to staff shortages at airports, passengers have faced massive flight cancelations and delays.
