Zelensky: Even Hamas Is Already Showing Contractual Capacity, But Not Putin

Russia needs to be forced to make peace.

Russia is waging war against Ukraine just for the sake of war, but Vladimir Putin will have to end it, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in an October 9 address. The transcript was published by his press service.

"We do not wage war for the sake of war, as Russia does. And already even [Palestinian terrorist group] Hamas [in its war with Israel] is showing treaty-ability, but not Putin. So far. We, together with our partners, are creating conditions for Russia to force peace. And it will be," Zelensky said.

He expressed hope that, as in the case of the Middle East, the United States will be able to achieve peace in Ukraine as well.

"It is important that the leadership of the United States of America works further," the Ukrainian president emphasized.

Zelensky noted that Ukraine will continue to pound its long-range weapons - missiles and drones - on the territory of the aggressor country.

"The task now is to be much more active in everything related to the preparation and implementation of long-range sanctions against Russia. The more effective Ukraine will be in long-range weapons, the faster we will be able to achieve peace," the Ukrainian president believes.
