UFC 320 took place last weekend in Las Vegas, where American fighter Joe Pifer (15-3) faced Abus Magomedov (28-7) of Russia in the main card, writes New Voice.
Before the fight, the 29-year-old U.S. representative recorded a video message for Ukrainians. It seems that Joe is friends with MMA fighter Egor Kostyuchenko, who revealed that he will have strong support from fans from Ukraine in his fight against the Russian.
"Hey everybody, I'm here with my friend Egor Kostyuchenko. He said that I have a lot of fans in Ukraine. Don't miss my main fight against Magomedov - very skillful guy, but I believe I have what it takes. Plug in to see me give him a real beating. Let's go!", Pifer stated.
In the end, the American made good on his promise and put on a crazy brawl in the octagon. First, Pifer, who has knockout power, sent Magomedov to knockdown with a powerful punch, and then decided to switch to wrestling. In the second round, Joe eventually applied a choke hold, forcing the Russian to surrender.
