The situation outside the presidential palace remains tense.
In Georgia today local government elections were held, which were boycotted by a number of major opposition forces.
In the background, the opposition organized a large-scale rally in Tbilisi, which, according to the organizers, should lead to the "peaceful overthrow" of the ruling Georgian Dream party.
At the rally, protesters tried to occupy the presidential palace of Orbeliani. But security forces prevented this.
Now the situation near the presidential palace in Tbilisi remains tense. Some of the demonstrators are building barricades. So far only some detentions of protesters have been recorded.
