Drones Repeatedly Hit One Of Russia's Largest Oil Refineries Near St. Petersburg

A fire broke out.

On the night of October 4, attack drones attacked one of Russia's largest oil refineries, located in Kirishi, Leningrad Region.

"Kirishinefteorgsintez was attacked again in Kirishi, Leningrad Region," according to a report by the "Exilenova+".

The governor of the Leningrad region, Alexander Drozdenko, warned at 2:40 about the danger from UAV strikes and a possible decrease in internet speed in the region. An hour later he confirmed the strike on Kirishi.

"Air defense is working on UAVs in Kirishi. There is a fire in an industrial zone. Fire departments have started extinguishing it," Drozdenko wrote.

The Ukrainian side did not comment on the strike on the Kirishi oil refinery at the time of publication.

It should be noted that the Kirishi Refinery is among the ten largest oil refineries in Russia: its capacity is more than 20 million tons of oil per year.
