Russia may lose more than half of its oil exports to India and China as a result of sanctions against Rosneft and Lukoil. In money, this is half of petrodollar revenues.
This was stated by Ukrainian Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy Vladyslav Vlasiuk, "RBC-Ukraine" reported, citing the airing of "We-Ukraine".
He noted that sanctions against Rosneft and Lukoil were adopted by both the United States and the United Kingdom. At the same time, the European Union has sanctions only against Rosneft, as part of the EU is still dependent on Lukoil.
"This potentially means in the neighborhood of 100 billion (dollars. - Ed.) per year in lost revenues. We expect that if the relevant sanctions restrictions are properly enforced, Russia will lose at least 60-70% of its oil exports to both India and China," Vlasiuk said.
He said that in such a case it would mean a loss of income of at least $5 billion a month.
"It is painful, it is a lot. For comparison, Russia now earns in the neighborhood of $10 billion a month. That is minus half of the petrodollar revenues with just the sanctions decision against two oil companies," the Ukrainian president's commissioner for sanctions policy summarized.
