Lithuania Handed Belarus A Note Of Protest

Belarus received the second protest note from Lithuania this week. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country.

October 25, Charge d'Affaires of Belarus was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania and "handed him a strict note of protest in connection with the second violation of the air border of Lithuania by Belarus this week. This was reported in the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry.

The reason - in the evening of October 24, once again, meteoprobes with smuggled cigarettes from our country paralyzed the work of the airport in Vilnius. After that, Lithuania closed the border with Belarus. October 25, at 12.00 pm Minsk time, traffic was resumed at the border with Belarus at the checkpoints "Miadininkai" (from the Belarusian side - "Kamenny Loh") and "Šalčininkai" (from the Belarusian side - "Beniakoni").

Reminder, Lithuania has twice closed the border with Belarus this week - October 24 and 22.
