France Ready To Send Troops To Ukraine Next Year

The French army chief of staff revealed the details.

France is ready to send its military contingent to Ukraine in 2026 as part of "security guarantees". General Pierre Schill, the army's chief of staff, said this at a hearing in the French parliament, BFMTV reported.

"We will be ready to deploy forces within the framework of security guarantees if it is necessary for the good of Ukraine," he said.

He said the French army is ready to simultaneously manage "three levels of alert," including the level of potential deployment to Ukraine. The general specifically mentioned the "national emergency level," which includes readiness for the rapid deployment of 7,000 soldiers "for national sovereign missions."
